A brief intoduction to scientific shopping

"Technology has changed our lives" would be an understatement...It has given birth to a complete world altogether. And the biggest contribution has been made by Internet. Its an inexpensive way of staying connected with world.

One click and you are looking at new launch of your favorite perfume brand in France, another click and there are pictures and specifications of your dream bike,mobile,notebook....list is endless. But wait its not all.You can find answers to most intriguing questions with a click, thanks to search engines like Google.

Physical stores are lagging way behind in offering you choices and they cant help it as space is a constraint but on web you can see tens of brands and hundreds of models within minutes isn't it amazing!.

The importance of research in getting right stuff is immense. We often loose so much in terms of lost opportunities. In absence of quality info we either end up spending more or sacrificing on important features we would have loved to have. There are brands who spend more on developing eye-catchy commercials than on improving quality of there product and giving more value for money to consumers.

A careful buyer tends to buy on "word of the mouth" publicity, that is one of the reasons Internet is becoming popular day by day as more and more people are spending time to read user and expert reviews and compare prices at different stores.

So is Internet an ultimate answer to buying good stuff? The answer was 'Yes' if asked 3-4 years back as Internet was growing in terms of information and it was reaching common man."Something is better than nothing" and we were offered more than something. As time passed by Internet changed economies.
It evolved from just another form of advertising and promotion media to a place where complete business can be run.Unlike other mediums like TV and radio, Internet provided two way communication where businesses can interact directly with user and this sped up the business processes like ordering, delivery, feedback etc. Some of the businesses completely closed there operations in physical world and were happy to have an identity in virtual world given immense ease of running business and cost saving.

Today if you ask me the same question is Internet an ultimate answer to buying good stuff? my answer would be 'No'.In recent years Internet was bombarded with information some good, some junk and some harmful. It acts more in confusing people than guiding them as this information is not organised and presented properly. There are some websites doing good job in presenting useful information in user friendly form. But that is not enough as sometimes there results are in favor of there so called sponsors.

So what is an answer? Answer lies in :

1) Ending up complete dependency on any one source of information
2) verifying what you get to know from an alternate online source
3) Gathering information from offline sources.
4) Educating yourself to know what to look for.

That is a tedious process isn't it.That's where Scientific Shopping comes into the picture
This blog is created to fulfill that information gap which is required to bridge different information sources and to produce information in user friendly form without confusing them.

The frustration i went through while hunting for the quality info to buy my laptop, smart phone and some financial products was underlying motivation to create this blog. The overload of information made me crazy. At the end of the day i didn't even know what i came here for. This blog is just a beginning and will soon take shape of a full fledged website as it grows in size.

Now why name "Scientific Shopping" ? Because research is foundation of this blog followed by
organised presentation. This blog is in beta state and will undergo lots of changes in near future
for the better.

The upcoming posts will have specific "How to" information on finding right products and sources to look for.
